The small property VATHI BAY is situated in an absolutely quiet area off-beat from any touristic hotspots, approx. 8km east of the picturesque small city Agios Nikolaos, near Kalo Chorio (Istron) on the northern coast of Crete.
The 3 terraced houses and 1 holiday apartment are in a beautiful location on a high plateau above the Bay of Mirabello on a shared, enclosed nature property with Mediterranean plants. 2 of the terraced houses and the holiday apartment can be booked through us while the third terraced house is occasionally occupied by the landlord couple. The extensive garden property ensures an undisturbed stay, even outside the holiday houses. From the various terraces you can enjoy the wide view across the sea and the coastline with mountains (up to 1200m high) in eastern direction.
The neat, two-storey corner terraced house is practically furnished and stretches across 3 levels. The comfortable living/dining room with the adjoining kitchenette is on the slightly elevated ground floor. 5 steps down from the living room are the guest toilet and one bedroom with direct access to the rear part of the property. Approx. 7 steps above the living room is the second bedroom with direct access to a small balcony providing a wonderful view across the garden with lush vegetation and the sea. Approx. 4 steps up from the second bedroom are the shared bathroom and the third bedroom with a balcony where you have a side garden view. A small wooden staircase leads from the top level to the roof top terrace which is the centrepiece of the terraced house. From the terrace you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view across the Bay of Mirabello, the surrounding coastline and the mountains. The terrace is sight protected and equipped with sunbeds and provides ample room to sunbath, lounge and chill under the blue sky.
The coast road of Aghios Nikolaos in eastern direction runs further inland so that you won´t have to cross any road on the footpath down to the Karavostassi shingle beach. The beach is hidden behind an olive grove and thus even during the peak season less frequented. The nearest two bays can be reached via the coast road, 2,7km (Mirabello) and 3,5km (Voulisma). Mirabello and Voulisma are amongst the most beautiful sandy beaches of the northern Lassithi coast.
