Summary: First impressions weren't great, but it did turn out to be a good place to stay and a convenient base to explore Khao Yai. Arriving late at Pak Chong, there are no more songthaews after around 6pm. I tried calling the hotel a few times to ask advice on how to get there, but there was no answer, so the options to get to the hotel were either pay a lot of money for a private ride, or hitchhike. Arriving at the hotel, due to the language barrier I had trouble getting any information from the staff about how to explore Khao Yai national park, but was able to speak with the manager later on who was more helpful, explaining the local buses. The room is a basic cabin with fridge, tv, and stereo, and a sitting area outside, but a bit of a weak wifi signal. There aren't many outlets in the room, so I ended up unplugging the tv to charge my phone. My first shower was cold, I think I'd gotten up too early in the morning. I noticed the staff fire up burners to supply the hot water and after that it wasn't an issue. The breakfast was decent with ham and eggs. Dining options in the area are scarce if you're looking for something outside of the hotel.
