Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The apartment was sufficient and nice and clean. Good communication with the owner when we had a couple of problems. Sadly the aprentments don't include all the hotel facilities so don't make the mistake we did and look at the complex facilities. Roof top pool is chargeable at £100 per day per person. Lots of other pools to use though so plenty of options. Best warm pool was the new one at Block C which was right at the apartment. Beach club is chargeable at £7.5 pp per day. Shuttle bus is free and takes you to the beach club area. Pera mackenzie restaurant was lively lovely and good entertainment. We ate in a few of the restaurants. Nice paddle court again chargeable at £20 to hire the bats and 3 balls. Language was a bit of an issue with staff but we got by, trying to make enquiries was hard, many staff gave you a different answer which was confusing but staff are new and early in the season. Most spoken was Russian and obviously Turkish.. Everyone was trying. Hotel reception were not very helpful and a bit rude. But this was nothing to do with the apartment. Hotel concierge were not helpful and again rude, they were only wanting to accommodate and help the very affluent guests at the hotel, we asked for help a few times and got no where. Complex was always being cleaned and maintained 5stars for this. Lifeguards always on duty. We ate in many of the restaurants again Language was difficult. We hired a car from the complex reasonable priced and went around the island. This is worth doing as we saw a lot of wonderful things. Block C receptionists very nice and tried to talk but limited English. Lots of space everywhere which was great. Never felt on top of anyone. Almost sometimes a private pool to yourself.
Negative: Nothing that would stop me booking again. Small things to tease out. Overall a 5 star stay with a few things to iron out then would be perfect.
Summary: Wonderful stay in Northern Cyprus highly recommend.
