'The Retreat Villa' is situated in the pretty village area of Peristerona near Polis in Paphos district. Accessed by private driveway (between the fruit orchards) into the extensive and secluded private grounds, this impressive stone built detached villa has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing holiday in the Cyprus sunshine.
It has 4 bedrooms and sleeps 8. It has a 12m x 6m private swimming pool with Roman steps, full air-conditioning, large flat screen TV with IPTV & DVD (TVs in all bedrooms also), washing machine, dishwasher, large stone built BBQ with adjacent table to seat 8, a circular shaded bar area jacuzzi bath in main bathroom and much more.
The setting is both serene and spectacular with the rolling hills of the nearby villages giving views you'll remember forever.
Details of the Interior:
After accessing the villa's grounds by long driveway (plenty parking), the villa's front door opens into a large airy open plan space comprising the lounge, inside dining area and kitchen. The lounge is furnished with 2 large real leather sofas & has a large flat screen TV with IPTV & DVD player. There is an open fire for those who wish to take advantage of some daytime sunshine and a cosy evening atmosphere in cooler winter months.
The adjacent dining/breakfasting area is equipped with a wooden table and eight chairs. The fully equipped kitchen has all modern appliances including washing machine, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, oven, gas hob and extractor hood, microwave and many other extras. Patio doors from the dining area open out onto the beautifully kept lawn area with play equipment for young children. A terrace with table a chairs overlooks and is an alternative setting for casual or formal dining. A door from the kitchen leads out to the villa's private pool.
Interior Cont: Making up the ground floor is a twin bedroom (useful for those with mobility issues) and an en-suite shower room with 2 access doors (as it doubles up as WC)
Upstairs, the master bedroom is a double bedroom that benefits from a balcony, wardrobes, dressing table/mirror and an en-suite bathroom with shower.
The second bedroom is a double bedroom and the third is a twin. Between the bedrooms is a large bathroom with jacuzzi bath and shower.
The villa is fully air-conditioned (paid locally if required). A travel cot and high chair are supplied free of charge on request. Other extras such as hair-dryer, pool towels, and safety deposit box are also provided.
The current IPTV system features most UK Sky channels (premium sports, documentaries, movies & music included) as a well as a video library of TV series, Movies and more
Details of the Exterior:
The extensive private grounds and gardens of 'The Retreat' in Peristerona are accessed by a long private driveway with fruit orchards on either side.
The centrepiece of the holiday villa's ground is a very inviting 12m x 6m private pool with Roman steps for ease of access. The spacious pool terrace is nicely equipped with 8 large sun loungers that benefit from large overhanging parasols and drinks tables as well as a choice of casual seating. Also on the pool terrace there is a circular bar area with solid wood pergola for shade. A new rattan sofa set has been added for reading in the sun or shade and a similar set has been added to the upstairs balcony also.
Take a step up and sit under a large gazebo with picnic bench to seat 8 comfortably for lunch or dinner. The large stone built BBQ sits at the end making it the perfect place for alfresco dining and socialising with your party on holiday. An outside shower and WC complete the outside areas. Most of the outside areas afford spectacular uninterrupted views of the surrounding valley and hillside. The pretty flowers, shrubs and trees add to the atmosphere.

Both Peristerona and ‘Steni' village centres are just 1-2km away from 'The Retreat' and where you will find a taste of the 'Real Cyprus'. With their mini-markets selling fresh organic produce, coffee shops and restaurants/tavernas as well as the friendly locals, you won't have to travel far to get the most out of your holiday.
Slightly further afield, you will find further amenities such as larger supermarkets, pharmacy, petrol station, and the more extensive choice of bars, restaurants, shops etc in Polis (8km). The nearest beach is at Latchi (12km) which is well known as one of the best on the island. You can relax and sun-bathe on the golden sand by the crystal clear waters, sit in the marina and enjoy lunch eating the day's fresh catch or for the more adventurous there is a great choice of water sports available for all the family.

The property, The Retreat, was outstanding — spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a swimming pool that was noticeably larger than most. The location was perfect: very private and secluded, yet conveniently close to local bars, restaurants, and the beach.
There were several standout dining options nearby. The Stone Lion is a popular choice, especially on weekends, with generous portions and a dessert menu full of exceptional homemade cakes. The Watermill Café in Steni offers good food at reasonable prices, just a short distance from the villa. Moustakallis in Polis never disappoints, serving consistently high-quality meals with a warm welcome from the family and staff.
Local support was also exceptional. Katrina, the local manager, was incredibly kind and welcoming — nothing was too much trouble. The thoughtful welcome pack and personal touches really added to the experience.

''We all had a truly lovely time in Cyprus—nobody wanted to return home at the end of our stay! Rest assured, we will definitely be back.
To answer some of your questions:
The villa, The Retreat Villa, was exceptional. The villa itself was excellent—well maintained, comfortable, and fully equipped. The outdoor areas were also beautifully kept. The pool was wonderful—large enough for five adults to enjoy comfortably. The pool table got plenty of use, though it is showing its age a little and could benefit from a bit of an upgrade or restoration. That said, we happily made do with its quirks.
The location was perfect for us. We openly admit we’re not party people and prefer peace and quiet. The Retreat Villa was ideally situated—remote enough to offer tranquillity, yet close enough to Polis for grocery shopping during the day and dining out in the evening.
We would recommend Papantoniou Supermarket in Polis, which is only about 9km from the villa. It stocked everything we needed for our self-catering holiday and had a great mix of familiar products and local brands.
We also highly recommend Moustakallis Tavern and Restaurant in Polis. We enjoyed it so much we ended up dining there every night! The prices were reasonable—around €125 each night for five adults including starters, mains, and drinks. Two members of our group are gluten intolerant, and the menu was clearly marked with allergens. The staff were incredibly accommodating and happy to adapt dishes to suit dietary needs. Service was impressively swift: starters arrived within five minutes of ordering, and mains followed promptly after. We never felt rushed, and Andreas was always available to assist or answer questions. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him or his team.
The service and communication from both yourselves and Katrina were excellent and couldn’t be faulted.
All in all, we had a wonderful stay in Cyprus. We’ll definitely be back, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book through LetsRentOnline again—or to stay at The Retreat Villa a second time.
